Our approach

Section 20 Defender keeps cookies deliberately minimal, and never loads analytics cookies without your consent.

What we do use

While building your Defence Pack, we temporarily store your progress in your browser’s local session storage (not a cookie) so it isn’t lost if you leave and return during checkout. This is cleared automatically and is never sent to us.

If analytics is enabled on this deployment, a cookie banner asks for your consent before any analytics script loads or any analytics cookie is set - declining means no analytics cookies are set at all, and your choice is remembered in your browser so you’re not asked again.

When you pay, you’re taken to Stripe’s own secure checkout page, which sets its own cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These are set and controlled by Stripe, not by us - see Stripe’s privacy policy for details.
